The Department of State Services (DSS) on Tuesday presented the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria governor Godwin Emefiele at the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
He was brought to court around 9:20am for his alleged gun possession trial.
The DSS filed a two-count charge of possessing a single-barrel shotgun (JOJEFF MAGNUM 8371) without a license.

An FCT High Court in Abuja on July 13 issued a seven-day ultimatum to the DSS to either charge Emefiele to court or set him free.
Justice Hamza Muazu gave the order while ruling in a fundamental human rights suit instituted against the DSS and others by Emefiele.
