Former vice-chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, Professor Lateef Hussain is dead.
The varsity announced his death in a tweet on Monday. Hussain was 75.
The professor of physics died after a brief illness on Sunday evening.
“Former Vice Chancellor of @LASUOfficial, Prof. Lateef Akanni Hussein is dead. He died after a brief illness in the evening of Sunday, 31st July, 2022 at the age of 75years.
“Prof. Hussein, a professor of Physics, was the 6th Substantive VC; he served between 2005 and 2011,” the school tweeted.
The deceased is expected to be buried on Monday according to Islamic rites.
