Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has released a video of comedian Olanrewaju Omiyinka, alias Baba Ijesha, begging for forgiveness after he was allegedly caught sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl.
The 43-year-old released the video on Thursday amid reports that the police plan to release the accused on bail on Friday.
Baba Ijesha was arrested last week after comedian Princess accused him of sexually assaulting a teenager kept in her care.
A statement by the police after the arrest said the 48-year-old comedian was caught on CCTV.
The video released by Iyabo shows Baba Ijesha begging Princess for forgiveness.
When the comedienne asked why he did what he is accused of after all she had done for him, the embattled man blamed it on the devil.
“Baba Ijesha’s confession after being caught red handed on CCTV sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
“Be human and let your conscience be pricked,” Iyabo captioned the video posted on Instagram.
Iyabo has been the arrowhead of a campaign to ensure Baba Ijesha is punished for allegedly molesting a minor.
She raised an alarm on Wednesday night that the police were planning to release Baba Ijesha.
The mother of two has also clashed with male colleague Yomi Fabiyi, who likened Baba Ijesha’s case to that of Baba Suwe who was wrongly arrested and unlawfully kept in detention by the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in 2011 for alleged drug trafficking.
