Popular business consultant and public speaker Ubong King has died in Lagos aged 48.
Mr King passed on on Saturday after testing positive for the coronavirus.
Born on August 22, 1972, King attended the Federal Government College, Lagos for his secondary school certificate before proceeding to the University of Calabar where he studied agriculture.
The security expert and founder of Protection Plus Security Limited was nicknamed ‘Troublemaker’ by his numerous admirers.
King was a former chairman of The American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) International Chapter 206, Lagos.
He facilitated and spoke at leadership and management retreats within and outside Nigeria.
His charity organisation Ubong King Foundation in 2018 convened the maiden edition of ‘Thinkation’ – coined from thinking and education – a platform to encourage productivity among Nigerian youths.
He is survived by wife Unyime Ivy-King and four children Adora-Edima, Jamon-Mfonabasi, Atara-Uyaiabasi and Sarah-Mbuotidem.
