Italian champions, Juventus, are reportedly plotting to snap up Nigerian youngster, Henry Onyekuru, from under the nose of Everton.
Onyekuru, 20, joined the Toffees for £7m in the summer before being sent on loan to Anderlecht.
Since then, the one-capped Super Eagles stars’ reputation seems to have catapulted.
The ex-Eupen star has notched six goals in nine league appearances for the Belgian side – form that no doubt had Ronald Koeman casting envious eyes at prior to his dismissal.
Now, it appears his superb displays has gotten the attention of several European giants, including Juve.
According to Italian outlet, Calciomercato, the Turin side are keen on the Nigerian despite the fact that he is yet to feature for Everton.
The outlet reports that Old Lady are beginning their hunt for a Gonzalo Higuain replacement, and may look to table an offer for Onyekuru next summer so that he can be the Argentina international’s understudy.
But the player seems content maturing in the Jupiter League.
“I’m aware that there are reports and offers from several teams, but Everton will decide that in the coming weeks,” Onyekuru told CompleteSports on Tuesday.
“My focus is on my game and I hope to do better for Anderlecht. The future will sort itself.”
