Singer Kizz Daniel has apologised to Tanzanians for failing to perform at a concert in the country on Sunday.

At a press conference on Tuesday night streamed on the show promoter’s Instagram page, the ‘Buga’ singer explained his side of the story, apologised and promised a free show for Friday.

He said in parts, “The fans were already going wild which I know was out of love but I was advised to stay back, it wasn’t safe, it’s no disrespect to the fans. This Friday, a free show by the way, I will be partnering with Straight Up Vibes to make that happen. I must apologize to the fans. None of this was intentional.”

Qed.ng on Monday reported that Kizz Daniel was arrested in Tanzania after he failed to perform at the concert he was paid for last Sunday.

The 28-year-old was scheduled to perform at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena in Tanzania as part of his Afro Classic World Tour.

Fans of Kizz Daniel who had gathered at the venue left in anger and trashed the place after he failed to show up.

But a few hours after his arrest, he was released from police custody.

Revealing why Kizz Daniel didn’t perform at the concert in an Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, the organiser of the show Stephen Uwa claimed “Daniel said he would not be performing because the airline did not bring his bag containing his gold chain.”

The show promoter disclosed that efforts to make the musician perform at the show proved abortive.
