Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi aka Pasuma has held a three-day fidau prayer for his mum Adijat Kuburat.
Mrs Kuburat aka Iyawo Anobi was buried on Friday, April 7. She was laid to rest after funeral prayers were said.
Among those who attended the fidau prayer which culminated on Sunday were Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde aka K1 de Ultimate, actors Abimbola Kazeem aka Jigan Baba Oja and Funsho Adeolu and actress Iyabo Ojo.
Olori Odo of Ijora Kingdom Rilwan Olawale was also present.
He shared a video of his attendance on Instagram.
“Today 09-04-2023 condolence visit for @Officialpasuma late mother, Alhaja Adijat Kuburat iyawo anobi 3RD DAYS FIRDAUS PRAYER 🤲. May your soul continue to rest in peace. Sun Re ooo Iya daada,” he wrote.
Iyabo also shared a video of her visit to Pasuma on Instagram.
The actress wrote, “@officialpasuma may Allah grant you the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss my dear friend 🙏🏾, May her beautiful soul continue to rest in perfect peace 🤍🕊️ stay strong padi mi.”
Pasuma announced the death of his mother on Thursday via his Instagram account.
The singer shared a photo of himself and mum and wrote: “My jewel, I will miss you forever! Words fail me. Rest in power and peace, please watch over me from heaven.”
The post generated more than 3,500 comments in an hour.
Born in Mushin in Lagos State, Pasuma grew up in Kwara State and started writing songs in 1984.
The music prodigy, who rose from a humble background to a renowned performer, actor and businessman, was raised by his mother after she separated from her husband.
