Every 15th of October is a special day for Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall alias K1 De Ultimate.
Why? The 63-year-old gets to celebrate three important people in his life on their birthdays – the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; his own mother Halimat Boluade who is married to a prince from Fidipote Ruling House of Ijebuland; and his daughter Baseerat Marshal.
No wonder, K1 who is also called KWAM 1 took to Instagram on Thursday, October 15 to celebrate the trio.
He wrote: “Every 15th of October makes a great day in my diary of life events.
“My world is colored by the importance of this great special beings in my life.
“His Imperial Majesty ALAYELUWA Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi The Alaafin of Oyo. My Father.
“Alhaja Halimat – Shadia Abike Boluade, Omoba Ori Ite Abidagba Obinrin from Ilupeju Ekiti married to Omoba M.A ADESANYA (ANIFOWOSHE) Prince from FIDIPOTE RULING HOUSE OF IJEBULAND. My Mother.”
About his daughter, he wrote: “A pretty young lawyer doing us proud in our family Omo Ojusagbola Ogoji my daughter.”
K1 said he was thankful for having them in his life.
“I give thanks to God Almighty for having this great person’s of immeasurable successes and importance in my life,” he wrote.
Then he rained adulations on them in Yoruba and concluded saying, “Happy birthday to my world.”
The Alaafin of Oyo who has been on the throne for 49 years is now 82 years old.
Oba Adeyemi decorated K1 as the first Mayegun of Yoruba Land on January 13, 2020.
K1 is a recipient of multiple chieftaincy titles.
He was named Badabarawu of Ogijo in 1985, Ekerin Amuludun of Ibadanland in 1986, and the Oluomo of Lagos by King Adeyinka Oyekan of Lagos in 1999 among others.
