Fuji maestro Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 de Ultimate, has lost one of his wives, Alhaja Hafsat Anifowoshe.

Alhaja Hafsat died earlier on Tuesday from an undisclosed illness.

The 65-year-old was laid to rest at Abari Cemetery, Lagos, in line with Islamic traditions.

She is the mother of Idayat Anifowoshe, K1’s daughter, who serves as a special assistant for special duties to Muibi Folawiyo, the chairman of the Lagos Island East Local Council Development Authority (LIELCDA).

In a condolence statement to Idayat, Olushoga Olushola, Chief Press Secretary to the LIELCDA chairman, described Alhaja Hafsat as an outstanding woman and a loving mother.

“We know it hurts so deeply to lose a loving mother and dependable partner,” the statement read.

“You must, however, take solace in the time your mother spent on earth and her good service to God and humanity.

“Rest assured that our thoughts are with you, and our prayers are that you, the children, and all those she left behind will find the strength to continue where she stopped. May her soul find eternal rest,” he added.
