He Promised Us Gifts (Ore Atata), a movie co-directed by Kabirah Kafidipe and Bolaji Sulaimon, has been scheduled for premiere on Monday, April 24 at Ostra Halls and Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
The two-hour movie is a collaboration between Karfycomm Dawah Group and Prudent Media.
Starring Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Kareem Adepoju (Baba Wande) and Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), the movie tells the story of AbdulRaheem, a young man from a struggling family faced with various challenges that tested his beliefs which he could only overcome with tolerance, patience and spirituality.
He Promises Us Gifts also stars Ibrahim Oluwarotimi, Kabirah Kafidipe, Afeez Abiodun, Amina Adams, Abdullateef Abdulhakeem, Abdulganiy Adegbidin, Aisha Kafidipe, Tunde Bernard and Shakirah Momoh.
It was written and produced by Kabirah Kafidipe with Abdullateef Abdulhakeem, a former commissioner for home affairs in Lagos State, as executive producer.
The premiere is planned to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
It comes three years after Kabirah, an advocate of Islam, premiered A Date with Asmau.
Before then, she had produced Iwalewa and Bintu.
