Actor and lawyer Kanayo O Kanayo on Wednesday presented his book The Testator to Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa during the Delta State Economic Summit.
While presenting the book to the governor, Kanayo said the book was one of the reasons why he read law.
“Your Excellency, I want to assure you I didn’t read law for a wrong reason,” he said.
Kanayo was called to bar last year.
The 59-year-old added that the book would become a Netflix movie in two years.
Delta politician Ned Nwoko, who also got a copy of the book, praised Kanayo for a “well-written” piece.
Mr Nwoko said in an Instagram post, “Kanayo. O. Kanayo came calling to present his well-written and highly commended new book The Testator and at the same time endorsed the malaria eradication project.”
He added that he first met Kanayo and his colleagues – Richard Mofe-Damijo and Eucharia Anunobi – 23 years ago when they paid him a courtesy visit in his London law office.
Kanayo had earlier presented the book to senior advocate of Nigeria Mike Ozekhome, actress Regina Daniels, and legendary actor Pete Edochie.
