Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has questioned the reason for felicitations every new month.
The actor asked the question in an Instagram post on Monday, November 1st.
According to the 59-year-old, such gestures and felicitation should only be said during festive periods.
“Today is 1st November, everybody is bombarding your phone with ‘happy new month, happy new month’. Is it a gesture, goodwill or word that people always say happy weekend, happy new month? Sometimes I think it should be for festive seasons, merry Christmas, happy new year. This happy new month every month, even those who disturb you for credit?
“So tell me what does it mean to you? does it encourage you? does it tell you the month is out? Does it put you under new tension or does it mean just two texts some people send just to be close to you? Let me know. I am not saying happy new month to you,” he said.
