Kannywood actress Saratu Gidado, popularly known as Daso has died at age 56.
Saratu’s family announced the shocking death to Freedom Radio on Tuesday, saying that the actress was found dead in the morning.
Her family members explained that the actress failed to wake up on Tuesday morning after the midnight meal before the commencement of the day’s Ramadan fast, Sahur.
Some of her colleagues like Ali Nuhu and Uzee Usman have reacted to her shocking death.
Ali shared her picture on Instagram writing, “NNALILLAHI WAINNA ILAIHIR RAJI’UN. May Allah have mercy on Haj @saratudaso.”
“Noooooooooooooooooo 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 ya Allah,” a sad Usman wrote in the comment section of the post.
Daso was born on January 17, 1968, in the city of Kano.
She was particularly known for the comical roles she played as an aggressive and mischievous woman.
She made her debut in 2000 in a movie titled Linzami Da Wuta, produced by Sarauniya Movies.
