A Kano State High Court sitting in Bompai has granted TikToker Murja Ibrahim Kunya bail in the sum of N500,000.
Kunya is also to produce two reliable sureties one of which must be a close relative. The other must have a landed property with a certificate of occupancy in Kano.
The court restrained Kunya from making any comment or post on her social media handles including TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
It also directed the commissioner of police to ensure full compliance with the bail conditions as per her social media activities, adding that she should be arrested if she breaches any of the conditions.
Justice Nasiru Saminu also ordered the Kano Hospital Management Board and the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Dawanau to provide the court with the applicant’s psychiatric evaluation report within seven days.

Earlier, an upper Sharia Court remanded Kunya and ordered that her mental health be evaluated.
The court refused to grant her bail in a fundamental rights enforcement suit that she instituted, forcing her lawyer Yusuf Faragai to apply for her bail at another court.
Kunya, who lives at Tishama Hotoro Quarters Kano, is standing trial on a three-count charge of inciting public disturbance, belonging to criminal gang and criminal intimidation brought against her by the Kano State Hisbah Board.
