Former Super Eagles forward, Kanu Nwankwo, has urged Nigerians to support the national team ahead of their match against Guinea in the African Cup of Nations on Wednesday.
The 42-year-old former forward shared a video on Twitter to spur the nation.
“Up super eagles Nigeria 🇳🇬 🦅 Let’s get the 3 points again today against Guinea 🇬🇳 🙏🙏🙏,” he wrote.
Nigeria on Saturday edged past tournament debutants, Burundi, thanks to second-half substitute, Odion Ighalo.
The ex-Watford striker scored the only goal after 77 minutes in Alexandria with a curled finish past Burundi goalkeeper, Jonathan Nahimana, from a sublime Ola Aina pass.
