Socialite and founder of Kas Chicken Adebayo Kassim has died just three weeks after his friend Dotun Olaribigbe, popularly known as Lobito Disco, died.
Kassim died on Thursday on the day of burial of Lobito.
“Adekass, as we all fondly called him, had helped to raise funds for the funeral of Lobito,” publisher Dele Momodu wrote in an Instagram post.
Kassim was a close friend of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila.
The socialite wrote what many have termed a prophetic tribute to Lobito in the latter’s burial booklet.
He wrote, “Good night my general, we been friends for about 45years not one day we don’t talk, I will greatly miss you, wait for me at the gate of heaven see you on the other side your friend and brother forever.”
Kas Chicken was popular in Lagos in the 80s and 90s.
Before the foremost fast food eatery packed up, so much in demand was the quick service restaurant that it was the toast of the affluent in society.
