Kate Henshaw has been elected national public relations officer of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
The 51-year-old was elected unopposed in a by-election held to fill vacant positions in the association.
AGN national secretary Abubakar Yakubu announced the result of the election in a statement on Tuesday.
“Henshaw will be in charge of disseminating strategic communication among guild and non-guild members,” Mr Yakubu said.
The position of PRO became vacant after Monalisa Chinda declined to contest for a second term in an election held in Benin City in November.
Meanwhile, Michael Yusuf defeated Rilwan Ibiefo in another by-election to become AGN Vice President, North West, replacing Wash Waziri who occupied the position in the last tenure.
National president Emeka Rollas was returned unopposed at the election held in the Edo State capital last year.
