Special Adviser to the Katsina State Governor on Religious Affairs, Abdullahi Darma, has accidentally crushed his daughter, Aisha, to death.
The tragic incident occurred at Mr Darma’s home in Katsina on Friday as he was reversing his car.
Unaware that the little girl was behind the vehicle, Darma drove his car over her, killing her instantly.
He described the tragedy as an act of God.
“A few minutes ago, I got tested by God. I was reversing my car when I crushed my daughter mistakenly and she died” he wrote in Hausa on Facebook.
Little Aisha has been buried according to Islamic rights while associates and other well-wishers of the bereaved father continue to sympathise with him online and offline.
