Prince Kayode Afolabi from the Atoyebi Ruling House was on Tuesday installed as the Alapomu of Apomu in Isokan Local Government Area of Osun State.
It came a day after Governor Gboyega Oyetola approved the appointment of the monarch at the state’s executive council meeting.
The stool of Alapomu had been vacant since the death of Oba Lasisi Afolabi of Ayeye Ruling House in 2015.
Oba Afolabi joins the likes of the Apetumodu of Ipetumodu and the Alara of Ara whose appointments were recently ratified by the Oyetola administration.
A media and public relations practitioner, the new Alapomu is married to publisher of Scroll Report and 1999 CNN Journalist of The Year Award winner, Janet Mba-Afolabi.
