Filmmaker Oscar Heman-Ackah, husband of movie director Kemi Adetiba, has released a teaser of his feature film Finding Messiah.
The Ghanaian music executive dropped the teaser of Finding Messiah, a political-music drama on his Instagram account on Thursday.
The film is set in the fictional nation of Zambay and the teaser features a group of protesters fighting an established political class that is bent on oppressing the people it is meant to protect.
Speaking about the film, Oscar stated that one of the challenges he faced in was “the struggle to bring the beautiful, yet fictitious world of Zambay to life. It meant I needed to customize EVERYTHING to ensure that it is as believable as possible.”
He added: “As crazy as it sounds, we had to build a mini community to achieve this goal… Houses, executive villas, offices, streets… you name it, we built it.
“I want to say a huge thank you to my production team, who went to war with me, and fought through some of the toughest conditions… the cast and crew for trusting me with their talents and time… my entire family for standing and praying with me… and most importantly my super amazing wife for being by far the best support system any partner could possibly ask for. Greatest thanks to God for giving me this vision, and the means to achieve.”
Written and directed by Oscar, the film features veteran acts like Pete Edochie, Ngozi Ezeonu, Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett, Alex Usifo, and Ejike Asiegbu.
Starring also is the veteran singer Daddy Showkey, Sunshine Rosman, Bucci Franklin and Uzi Kwednu.
