Actress Kemi Afolabi has appealed to Nigerians to cease trolling her colleague Mercy Aigbe after the latter’s house was destroyed in a fire.

In an emotional live video shared on Instagram on Thursday, Kemi unable to hold back her tears, pleaded with fans to show Mercy support during this difficult time.

“Please guys, I am begging on behalf of my friend Mercy, she has been supportive. She did not send me to do this, but I feel so bad that she has to go through this,” Kemi said.

“We are all human, and nobody is perfect. Can you stop trolling her, please? I am begging.”

The actress also expressed disbelief at how some people could still troll Mercy despite the devastating incident describing it as “unfair.”

Kemi’s plea follows Mercy’s post on Wednesday that her home had been gutted by fire.

Sharing a video of the damage on Instagram, Mercy wrote, “Devastated! Thank God no life was lost! It is well.”

The post attracted an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues, including Iyabo Ojo, Adeniyi Johnson, Blessing Obasi, Uzee Usman, Toyin Abraham, and Odunlade Adekola, who offered prayers and words of encouragement.
