Following the success of her one-woman show, Naked, which premiered at the Lagos Theatre in 2018, Nollywood actress, Kemi Akindoju, will be making her directorial debut at the same festival this year with Lavender.
Lavender is a stage play presented by The Make It Happen Productions, which is owned and run by Kemi Akindoju.
The play stars Kehinde Bankole, Deyemi Okanlawon, Oludara Egerton-Shyngle and Rita Edward.
In the past, Kemi had produced brilliant plays such as The V Monologues and her critically acclaimed one-woman show Naked. The award-winning producer also has credits as associate producer on Ndani TV’s Gidi Up, co-producer on Akin Omotoso’s The Ghost and The House of Truth & Ishaya Bako’s soon to be released 4th Republic.
Lagos Theatre holds from April 8 to 14, 2019. Lavender will show three times during the festival.
A command performance will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 by 7:00 pm at MUSON Centre, Onikan.
The next would be Saturday, April 13, 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm- behind Igroove Radio Station, Freedom Park in Lagos.
While the last would be on Sunday, April 14, 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm at the same venue.
