A spokesman for the Adeleke family, Dele Adeleke, has debunked claims by a self-styled investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, that Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, is expecting a child from a younger lover.
Ms Olunloyo had congratulated Adeleke in a tweet on Wednesday.

“So happy for #BabaOlowo Deji Adeleke expecting a baby soon with his girlfriend. This lovely young lady in her late 20’s has been sent to America🇺🇸 to coop like Chioma cooped in UK. Davido gets double joy. New baby & new sibling in 12 mos. For the baba ke! A new OBO,” she wrote.
Mr Adeleke, however, told PM NEWS on Friday from Atlanta, Georgia, US that the claim was false.
He said that contrary to the claim, Davido’s father is “a new grandfather and an expectant grandfather.”
He added that Adeleke is a new grandfather by virtue of Davido’s baby born last Sunday and an expectant grandfather to the unborn child of Davido’s cousin, Adebayo Adeleke, also known as B-RED.

Adebayo is the son of Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Adeleke, as head of the family, plays fatherly role to all according to Yoruba culture.
