Minister of aviation and aerospace development Festus Keyamo visited Caverton Helicopters in Lagos last week and was given flying lessons.
Mr Keyamo shared a video on Sunday via social media of himself receiving a crash course on flying a helicopter.
He said he was presented a honorary captain’s certificate after the course.
“On Friday, I rounded off my week by paying a visit to the Caverton Helicopters in Lagos, a subsidiary of Caverton Offshore Support Group (COSG) where I inspected the company’s state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility,” he wrote.

Keyamo added that one of his key performance indicators (KPI) is to support local operators.
“One of my KPI’s is to support and encourage our local operators. I also took a crash course in piloting a helicopter with the company’s very modern helicopter simulator. Guess what? I was then handed a Honorary Captain’s Certificate,” he wrote.
