The decomposing corpse of kidnapped Vicar General of the Otukpo Catholic Diocese Rev. Father, John Adeyi, was Wednesday found in Otukpa, Benue State.
Police and villagers besieged the secretariat in Ogbadibo Local Government Area where the body was dumped by his suspected abductors.
Adeyi was kidnapped in April along the along Odoba Otukpa-Okwungaga Road.
He was not released despite the payment of a N2million ransom.
The N5million promise by the Benue State Government to anyone who could supply information on his whereabouts yielded no result either.
Benue Police spokesperson, ASP Moses Yamo, confirmed the discovery, saying they would do everything possible to bring the clergy’s killers to book.
Adeyi recently celebrated the silver jubilee of his ordination as priest.
