An eight-year-old girl, Aisha Sani, who was kidnapped a fortnight ago in Tudunwada quarters of Kano State by an unknown woman, has been found dead.
Little Aisha was kidnapped after her Islamiyya school closed. The woman who took her away was said to have put on a veil.
The suspected kidnapper did not make any communication with her parents for three days.
A text message was said to have been sent to her parents a week later, saying Aisha was in good health and they should not be bothered.
Her body was, however, found on Monday lifeless.
Police in Kano say they have begun investigation on the case.
