Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has described the gruesome murder of a United States’ returnee, Mutiu Agbosasa, in Ikorodu area of Lagos as “saddening, disturbing, and shocking.”
Mrs Dabiri-Erewa also described Agbosasa’s death as painful, callous and undeserving of the kind of person the deceased was.

In a condolence message on Thursday issued by the commission’s spokesman, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, she condoled with the family of the deceased and prayed for fortitude to bear the loss.
Agbosasa was killed by suspected robbers in his country home of Ikorodu on Tuesday after 45 years of his sojourn in the US.
He returned home at the age of 72 to settle down to a life of retirement before he was killed.
“This is indeed sad. May Allah grant the family the fortitude to bear this loss, console them in the best manner and forgive the shortcomings of late Agbosasa by rewarding him with Al-janah Firdaus,” Dabiri-Erewa said.
The NIDCOM boss added: “Everyone who knew him described Agbosasa as a devoted Muslim, kind, self-sacrificing, dedicated, easy-going, and a man of integrity.
