King Charles III has met with disc jockey Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, and appointed her the King’s Trust international ambassador.
DJ Cuppy shared a picture of the royal invitation to Buckingham Palace on Instagram on Friday, May 24, with the caption “Off to Buckingham Palace”.
The invitation read, “The Master of The King’s Household is commanded by His Majesty to invite Ms. Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola to a Reception to be given at Buckingham Palace by The King in celebration of The King’s Trust Awards 2024.”
The stylish disc jockey dressed in a pink skirt, a buba, and a pink gele to see the monarch.
“Hardly home but ALWAYS reppin,” she captioned one of her photos.
Her father Femi Otedola praised her in an Instagram post, saying she represented Nigeria brilliantly.
“Our @CuppyMusic is going places! His Majesty King Charles III invited Ms Cuppy to Buckingham Palace, and she represented us brilliantly. Congratulations on your new role as a King’s Trust International Ambassador,” he wrote.
Earlier this week, DJ Cuppy delivered a captivating performance at the Prince’s Trust Awards.
The 31-year-old shared videos and pictures from the event on social media, highlighting her role in the celebration. She said she was honoured to present the Global Sustainability Award to a fellow Nigerian whom she identified as Ridwan.
“I was personally honored to present our fellow Nigerian, Ridwan, with his Global Sustainability Award,” she said.
