Juju music legend King Sunny Ade is set to make a special appearance in Toyin Abraham’s highly anticipated movie, Alakada: Bad and Boujee, scheduled for release on December 20.
Earlier in the week, Toyin teased fans with a cryptic post about featuring a “special someone” in the project.
She wrote, “Someone special is in #Alakadabadandboujee. He made my dream.”
The actress later confirmed the mystery person as King Sunny Ade in a video shared on Instagram on Friday.
The clip captured Toyin, her crew, and her husband Kola Ajeyemi warmly welcoming the music icon, with the actress kneeling to greet him in traditional Yoruba fashion.
Expressing her excitement, she captioned the post, “A Cherished Dream Achieved: King Sunny Adé in Alakada Bad and Boujee. I’m thrilled to announce that my dream has come true! Despite initial doubts, my husband’s encouragement propelled me to pursue my dream relentlessly.
“Daddy wá, Sir King Sunny Adé, thank you for being part of this project! Your presence is a testament to your enduring legacy. May God continue to bless and elevate you.
“Get ready, Alakada is poised to become a cultural phenomenon!”
Fans and celebrities alike flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages.
Filmmaker Jade Osiberu wrote, “Big big things ni mo like.”

Toyin’s latest project marks the fifth installment in her popular Alakada series, following Alakada (2009), Alakada 2 (2013), Alakada Reloaded (2017), and Fate of Alakada: The Party Planner (2020).
The star-studded cast includes Stephanie Coker, Odunlade Adekola, Bimbo Ademoye, Olumide Owuru, Yetunde Barnabas, Peller, Iyabo Ojo, and now, King Sunny Ade.
