Recording artiste and performer, Kiss Daniel, has changed the name on all his social media accounts to “Kizz Daniel”.
There was no official statement on the reason for the change as at the time of filing this report.
His manager, Ubi Franklin, however, confirmed, to Pulse.ng that the artiste born Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe has changed his name and will now be addressed as Kizz Daniel.
The singer was involved in a much-publicised contract dispute with former label, G Worldwide, late last year.
It resulted in a court case and he has since moved onto his indie platform, Flyboy Inc.
Since the launch of his music platform, the artiste has embraced a new lease of life as he has been involved in a series of collaboration with fellow artistes.
It is unclear if the name change is related to the past events or the artiste is seeking to rebrand his persona.
Late American singer, Prince, adopted a “Love Symbol” in 1993 in rebellion against Warner Bros. over contract disagreement.
He was alternatively referred to as “The Artist Formerly Known as Prince” or simply “The Artist”.
