Singer Kizz Daniel has congratulated Nigeria’s Flamingos on their victory against Germany.
Flamingos defeated Germany to clinch a consolatory bronze medal at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India on Sunday October 30.
The match ended 3-3 in regulation time, leading to a penalty shootout. The penalty then ended 3-2 in Nigeria’s favour as the team took revenge for their loss against the Europeans in their opening fixture.
Congratulating the team in an Instagram post on Monday, Kizz Daniel posted a video of the Nigerian women and their German opponent dancing to his hit song ‘Cough’ and doing the signature Odo dance move.
Captioning the video, he wrote: “Congrats to the team once again, I love the unity.”
Kizz Daniel released ‘Cough’ on October 14, five months after the release of another hit song ‘Buga’ which athlete Tobi Amusan danced after her victory at the World Athletics Championship.
An impressed Kizz Daniel also took to Instagram to congratulate the athlete, stating it was the perfect moment in history to ‘Buga’.
Other celebrities like Kate Henshaw, Sabinus, Broda Shaggi and Mercy Aigbe have also joined the Cough challenge.
