Lagos State Government on Friday released the list of policemen undergoing trial for alleged human rights violations.
Governor Bababjide Sanwo-Olu named the policemen in a Twitter thread.
Part of those named was Ogunyemi Olalekan a police inspector involved in the killing of Kolade Johnson.
The inspector was dismissed after he was found guilty in an orderly room trial.
The listed ex-policemen are facing charges ranging from alleged manslaughter to murder.
“Today seems like a good day to get on to the work of rebuilding Lagos and ending police brutality. To show our commitment to the latter, here is a list of ongoing prosecution of police officers for offences related to the violation of human rights in Lagos,” Sanwo-Olu tweeted.

Mr Sanwo-Olu on Monday set up a judicial panel of inquiry and restitution to investigate cases of human rights abuses by policemen.
