Arsenal fullback, Sead Kolasinac, has shared a picture with club colleague, Mesut Ozil, following an attack by two knife-wielding men who wanted to rob Ozil.
Footage on social media shows Kolasinac – nicknamed The Tank – chasing the robbers in Platts Lane, near Golders Green, London at about 17:00 BST.
To confirm the safety of the pair, the 26-year-old Bosnian shared a picture of them on social media with the caption: “Think we‘re fine 😁 #M1Ö #SeoKol.”
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “It was reported that suspects on motorbikes had attempted to rob a man who was driving a car. The driver, along with his passenger, managed to get away unharmed and travelled to a restaurant in Golders Green, where they were spoken to by officers.”
The spokesman said there have been no arrests and officers are still investigating the incident.
Kolasinac and Ozil had just returned to England following Arsenal’s pre-season tour of America.
They each started in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Real Madrid in Washington DC.
