Following the controversy that followed his win at 2015 Headies, Mavin act, Reekado Banks has finally aired out his thoughts on who apart from him deserved to win the Next Rated award.
Speaking with Do2dtun and Taymi on the Midday Oasis show on Cool FM, Lagos, the ‘Katapot’ singer said, “Should I be honest, I am a Mavin artiste and another Mavin act is on the list, so I will have to give it to Korede Bello. Straight up”.
In comparison to the other artistes in the category, the 22-year-old said, “Everybody did well, but Korede had the biggest song last year, so definitely I will give it to him”.
Reekado also spoke on the reaction of the people following the public spat between Don Jazzy and Olamide citing that fans did not want the beef to end as early as it did.
The pop star who defeated Lil Kesh, Korede Bello, Kiss Daniel and Cynthia Morgan in the highly coveted Next Rated award category also revealed that he is dropping a new single titled ‘Oluwa Mi’ soon.
