Actor Kunle Afod has thanked his followers for their birthday wishes amid his wife’s claim that their marriage has ended.
The 49-year-old wrote an appreciation message to his 1.6 million Instagram followers.
“I want to use this medium to say a big thank you to everyone that wished me well and for all the prayers yesterday my special. God bless you all. I appreciate you all. One love,” he wrote.
Kunle’s wife left a shocking message for her Instagram account on Tuesday announcing that her marriage to the actor has ended.
She wrote: “The good news you wanna hear. I left Kunle Afod.”
The announcement was made 24 hours after the businesswoman who often refer to herself as a celeb’s wife celebrates her husband’s birthday on Instagram.
“Happy Birthday Daddy Omiayo, Desire, Imodola, Yiyenitemi. May God bless you on your birthday and always,” she wrote.
Although Desola did not reveal the reason for the separation, many have speculated that it is connected to infidelity.
Qed.ng’s check on her Instagram account revealed that Desola has unfollowed the actor on the platform.
The estranged couple is blessed with four boys.
Kunle, however, has a 19-year-old daughter named Angel from a previous relationship.
