Filmmaker Kunle Afolayn could not hold back his excitement on Thursday while announcing his latest film Ijogbon is still one of the most-watched non-English films on Netflix two weeks after it was released.
The filmmaker shared the goodness in an Instagram post on Thursday with a video of an Arise TV presenter announcing that Ijogbon “still holds the spot for the top 10 non-English films globally, the latest data shows that the movie recorded 5.7 million hours of views from a total of 2.9 million views, making the 6th most watched film non-English film globally between October 16 and October 22, 2023, it’s still the only Nigerian film in that category that contends with other non-English films from across Hollywood and Bollywood.”
“2 weeks and still at the top. It’s not lonely here at all,” Kunle wrote.
