Filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has mourned veteran actor Sadiq Daba.
The 46-year-old shared a picture of himself and Daba on Instagram on Wednesday.
“You will be missed ‘Uncle S’ You made your mark. Orun re,” he wrote.
Daba died on Wednesday evening after falling critical ill at his Marwa Garden residence in Alausa, Lagos State.
Mr Daba had been ill with leukemia and prostate cancer for years before his death
He reached out to the public for financial assistance for medical treatment in October 2019.
Daba was diagnosed with leukaemia and prostate cancer in 2017.
He travelled to London for treatment after a campaign for fund organised by Okei-Odumakin, Mabel Oboh, Soni Irabor and Azuka Jebose.
Daba has starred in some of Kunle’s movies.
They include October 1 and Citation.
Citation was the last project he worked on before his death.
