Nollywood producer and director Kunle Afolayan has paid tribute to veteran Yoruba actress Toun Oni.
The father of four in an Instagram post shared a picture of himself and Toun.
He said the picture was taken during the screening of the 2007 movie Irapada.
“#throwbackthursday #throwback with Late Aunty Toun Oni aka Mama T. 2007 during Irapada screening. May her soul continue to rest in peace,” he wrote on Thursday.
In 2018, the October 1 actor remembered Toun who acted as his mom in his first film.
“Remembering Aunty Toun Oni. She featured as my mother in my first film ‘Irapada’ Redemption in 2006. Her support towards the completion of the film was enormous. Orun ‘re mama,” he wrote.
The actress reportedly died on her way to the hospital on July 7, 2010.
She was popularly known as Mama Moji in Fuji House of Commotion – a weekly comedy programme on the television.
Kunle’s recent Netflix movie Citation on November 12 ranked number six in the world.
