Nollywood director and producer, Kunle Afolayan, on Wednesday released the original soundtrack to his new movie titled Roti.
The release comes two days before the film goes to the cinema on Friday, June 30.
Described as an emotionally charged rendition, the original soundtrack was performed by Kent Edunjobi.
Roti stars Kunle Afolayan and Kate Henshaw as a couple who loses their son called after brief illness.
A few years later, the wife sees a boy called Juwon who is an exact replica of her dead son.
She initially receives the experience in wonder and hopes of a reunited future with her dead son.
But, after she discovers roughly that Juwon is not her dead son, Roti, she is washed anew by grief, depression and desperation.
Her desperation spirals for the worst as her decision-making on her future with Juwon becomes rather irrational and reckless.
Roti also stars Toyin Oshinaike, Fathia Balogun and Dari Afolayan.
It is one of a trilogy of films produced by Kunle Afolayan’s Golden Effects Pictures and Africa Magic Films.
