Actor Kunle Remi has reacted to the backlash from trolls who tackled his wife Tiwi for saying women should stay away from him.
The now-deleted video where Tiwi made the statement was posted by the actor a day after he announced his surprise marriage to the US-based woman on his Instagram.
In the video, Tiwi playfully warned her fellow women to stay away from Kunle as he is now off the market.
“Listen lock him in, this guy, all mine. To all the ladies, stay in prayers, I pray God sends you yours, quicksand is about to hit your foot, stay away from mine so yours is coming. O ti lo,” Tiwi said.
Those who were displeased over her statement accused her of showing off while others opined that she should be telling her husband to stay off women and not the other way round.
Responding to the criticism in an Instagram post on Thursday, Kunle stated that his wife’s comment was a harmless joke and people misinterpreted it.
He wrote: “Omo!! news no Dey Nigeria again Small video that @realdjteebone recorded months ago which I posted with wifey joking and vibing has become video of insecurity and warning video??
“HARMLESS joke and vibes. People have turned nothing to mean something. My house/life is a house of laughter and good vibes and I won’t be sharing that with the world. Seeing that we need to explain everything and I don’t have evidence.”
Kunle also promised never to bring his private life on social media until his kids clock 16.
“Sliding back into my private world, posting again when our kids are 16 years old,” he wrote.
