Actor Kunle Remi has replied an Instagram follower who criticised his outfit to the Bridgerton ball party in South Africa.
The party, hosted by Netflix, doubles as the premiere of the third season of the hit series and was held over the weekend.
Several Nigerian celebrities like Chidi Mokeme, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Sharon Ooja, Kim Oprah, Priscilla Ojo and Kiekie attended the party in a traditional English attire, representing the theme of the event.
Kunle, however, set tongues wagging when he wore an agbada to the event. Many described his outfit as ‘inappropriate’.
When an Instagram user questioned his choice, Kunle said he was proud of his outfit.
“Agbada?” The critic named Mercy Idowu asked.
“Yes, with pride, my darling,” Kunle replied.
“You ate buh later vomited, this is not anikulapo movie premier,” another critic wrote but Kunle ignored the comment.
The actor also posted several pictures of his outfit on Instagram and disabled the comment section.
