The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kwara, Mrs Tosin Ikupolati, has called on both Federal and state governments to assist in constructing a perimeter fence at the orientation camp.
Ikupolati made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the Yikpata permanent orientation camp on Friday.

She commended Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara for renovating hostels at the camp.
She said the governor had renovated and expanded the male hostels in the camp, presently occupied by the corps members undergoing orientation.
The coordinator said that hopefully, the remaining hostels under renovation would be used by Batch `C’ Stream 2 to commence late November.
Ikupolati described the governor as `a youth-friendly governor’, saying that by the gesture, the governor had upgraded the camp hostels to five-star status.

She noted that the borehole donated to the camp by the Lower Niger River Basin Authority was now functional.
The coordinator recalled that the governor had expressed displeasure with the dilapidated facilities at the camp when he visited the camp after his assumption of office.
“Few weeks after his visit, AbdulRazaq donated 200 double- bunk beds and 400 mattresses as well as benches and drugs to the camp,’’ she said.
“I will not relent in my efforts to achieve this transformation mandate with the welfare of corps members as my focus,” Ikupolati said.
