Players and officials of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Kwara United, survived a ghastly road accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday morning.
No life was lost in the incident, but some members of the team suffered varying degrees of injuries and have since been taken to the hospital.
The Harmony Boys were returning to their base in Ilorin, Kwara State, after participating in the Nigerian National League’s (NNL) Super Four tournament.
Our bus, carrying players and officials, was involved in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Express this morning, travelling to Ilorin after the NNL Super 4.
We are glad to report that no life was lost in the accident, but 3 people got injured and are receiving proper treatments.

Go Round FC defeated Heartland to the title on Tuesday evening.
Kwara will be making a return to the elite division after two seasons in the second-tier.
They qualified for the top-flight as winners of the Northern Conference.
Kwara United are returning to the elite division after two seasons in the NNL.
They were meant to start the new NPFL season with a home game against Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.
It is yet unclear if the game will go ahead as planned.
