Unknown gunmen on Tuesday killed one and abducted two family members of Salisu Usman-Maku the elder brother of a former Minister of Information Labaran Maku.
A family member who did not want to be named told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lafia, Nasarawa State that the gunmen stormed their house at Gudi village of Akwanga Local Government Area early Tuesday.
The source said the gunmen killed their sister and abducted their brother, an officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service, and his wife.
Comptroller of Immigration in Nasarawa Zainab Lawal confirmed the abduction of the officer Salihu Usman-Maku and his wife.
She said: “Nigeria Immigration Officer (NIS) Supt. Salisu Usman and his wife have been abducted at gunpoint.”
NAN could not get Nasarawa police spokesman Ramhan Nansel to speak on the incident.
