A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State Lanre Razak has passed on.
Mr Razak was a member of the Governor’s Advisory Committee (GAC) the highest decision-making body in Lagos.
He died on Saturday morning at the age of 74 following undisclosed ailment.
The Epe indigene was a former commissioner for transportation in Lagos and a former deputy national chairman of the defunct All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP).
The state chairman of APC Tunde Balogun confirmed this to NAN, saying the party was devastated by Razak’s demise.
He described the deceased as a very loyal influential party member.
“We are sad to hear the news of the death of one of our very influential and loyal party men, chief Lanre Razak today,” he said.
“We are pained by the exit of this great man who contributed immensely to the progress of our party.
“Chief Lanre Razak was a great asset to the party and one of the elders. We are still in disbelief about his exit, we are pained.”
