Lagos State Government has announced the recovery and discharge of 13 coronavirus (COVID-19) patients in the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the state’s incident commander, said on Thursday during his daily briefing at the State House in Marina that the patients comprised 11 males and 2 females.
“…Today, 13 more patients, comprising 11 males and 2 females, have been discharged from our Yaba and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation facilities to reunite with the society,” the governor wrote afterwards on Instagram.
“The patients, 4 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and 9 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.
“With this, the number number of COVID-19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos stands at 541.”
Lagos has 2,057 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 33 deaths.
