Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that eight coronavirus patients have been discharged from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.
Mr Sanwo-Olu said on Tuesday on Twitter that the eight persons comprise two females and six males who tested negative and have fully recovered from COVID-19.
The governor wrote: “More great news today from our Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba. 8 more people; 2 females and 6 males have tested negative and fully recovered from #COVID19. They have been discharged to return to their families.”
The latest recoveries bring the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from the state’s facilities to 69.
Sanwo-Olu urged Lagosians to continue adhering to all the safety advice from health experts.
