Staff of Lagos State Fire Service have been pictured celebrating the release of the director, Rasaki Musibau, and six others.
Mr Musibau and six other persons were abducted last Saturday at about 8.00pm at Ketu-Ereyun, Ikorodu area of the state.
Police on Wednesday morning announced their freedom and that the victims had since reunited with their families.
Musibau and the others were released at about 11:45pm Tuesday night inside a forest where they were kept by the kidnappers.
A statement by the police on Wednesday said tactical teams were still in the creeks and forests combating the hoodlums.
Police commissioner, Zubairu Muazu, had told journalists on Tuesday after a security council meeting with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, that security agencies were doing all in their power to free the kidnap victims.
