Elegushi of Ikateland, His Royal Majesty Oba Saheed Elegushi, Kusenla III, has celebrated his 16th wedding anniversary with his first wife, Olori Aramide Sekinat.
Oba Elegushi posted several pictures on Instagram early Friday to mark the anniversary.
“Your love is the strength that drives me to do everything for this family,” the monarch said about his wife.
“You are armor that shields me from tears. Happy 16th years wedding anniversary.”
In another post of himself, wife and three daughters, Oba Elegushi thanked God for the children born out of the union.
“The Grace of the Almighty in the last 16yrs is evident before our eyes. His blessings with this wonderful fruits is an affirmation of His love. Thank you for 16years of companionship. I am lucky to have you,” he said.
The monarch recently picked a new bride, Hadiza Tanko, the younger sister to Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor, Salihu Tanko.
Oba Elegushi celebrated his ninth coronation anniversary on April 27.
The 21st monarch of Ikate-Elegushi was said to be the youngest Lagos monarch on his coronation on April 27, 2010.
He was born on April 10, 1976 into the royal Elegushi family, from Kusenla ruling house of Ikateland, Lagos State.
Before his coronation, the monarch was part of the administration of former Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, and also that of Babatunde Fashola as senior special assistant in charge of special duties.
He is credited with transforming the ancient waterfront land to a model royal kingdom.
