Eminent personalities on Wednesday attended the service of songs for Modupe Dada, wife of the founder and president of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) and the managing director of PRM Africa Marketing and Communications Limited, Mike Dada.
The programme was held at Grace Assembly, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos. Head pastor of the church Femi Paul and Yomi Badejo-Okusanya officiated.
Mrs Dada (nee Baruwa) died on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Dutchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos.
Among the attendees at the service of songs were the former minister of information and culture, Lai Muhammed; chairman of The Address Homes and former group managing director of First Bank Nigeria Plc, Bisi Onasanya; deputy inspector-general of police in charge of the Department of Training and Development, Frank Mba; and media entrepreneurs Kenny Ogungbe and Dayo Adeneye.
Also present were Senator Babafemi Ojudu, former Lagos commissioner of information and strategy, Steve Ayorinde; media entrepreneurs Azuh Arinze and Olumide Iyanda, comedian Gbenga Adeyinka and senior special assistant (SSA) on Lagos liaison to Akwa Ibom State governor Michael Effiong.
The remains of the deceased will be buried on Thursday, October 24, 2024, after a farewell service at the Grace Assembly.
Born on May 5, 1976, Mrs Dada was vice-president of AFRIMA and an accomplished bank executive.
She is survived by her husband, two children and siblings.
